Peach Cars is expanding its finance team and is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Associate to support its growing sales and financial operations. This role is central to ensuring accurate, timely, and well-documented financial processes tied to vehicle sales transactions.
Role Overview
The Finance Associate will handle key financial workflows including payment verification, invoicing, reconciliations, and maintaining organized financial records. You’ll work closely with both Finance and Sales teams to ensure smooth and transparent operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Payment Confirmation & Verification
- Confirm inbound payments such as deposits and final balances
- Track and verify outbound payments (e.g., seller payouts, broker fees)
- Align financial records with actual vehicle transactions in collaboration with Sales
Deposit Account Reconciliation
- Maintain and reconcile the sales deposit account on a monthly basis
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unexplained entries
Invoice Management
- Generate invoices and ETRs after ownership transfer confirmation
- Record all invoices accurately in QuickBooks
Documentation & Process Support
- Maintain organized digital records of financial documents (e.g., MEGA/Drive)
- Track the full payment-to-invoice lifecycle
- Support improvements in financial processes and documentation
Cross-Functional Support
- Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and supplier payments
- Support team-wide finance tasks and ad hoc assignments
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in finance/accounting roles
- Experience with payment tracking, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data cleaning)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Understanding of tax/compliance basics related to invoicing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- CPA certification (completed or in progress)
- Experience in automotive, retail, or high-volume transaction environments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Process improvement mindset with ability to optimize workflows
- Experience building simple financial trackers (e.g., receivables, invoice cycles)
