Artcaffe Coffee and Bakery is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Officer to support HR operations across multiple locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to grow within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

About the Role

The HR Officer will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong employee relations. You will work closely with management and staff to build a motivated and high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and maintain accurate employee records
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, statutory deductions, leave, and employee benefits
  • Support performance management processes and guide improvement plans
  • Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures
  • Drive employee engagement, wellness programs, and staff recognition initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CHRP certification is an added advantage
  • Must be a member of IHRM
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR operations (hospitality, retail, or FMCG preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and compliance requirements
  • Experience in payroll coordination and HR systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-branch environment
