Artcaffe Coffee and Bakery is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Officer to support HR operations across multiple locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to grow within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
About the Role
The HR Officer will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong employee relations. You will work closely with management and staff to build a motivated and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and maintain accurate employee records
- Coordinate payroll inputs, statutory deductions, leave, and employee benefits
- Support performance management processes and guide improvement plans
- Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures
- Drive employee engagement, wellness programs, and staff recognition initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- CHRP certification is an added advantage
- Must be a member of IHRM
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR operations (hospitality, retail, or FMCG preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and compliance requirements
- Experience in payroll coordination and HR systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-branch environment
