Job Overview

KEPRO (established in 2021) is a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) focused on advancing Kenya’s recycling ecosystem and promoting a circular economy. By working closely with producers, government agencies, and other stakeholders, KEPRO ensures responsible management of post-consumer waste, protecting the environment and creating jobs for future generations.

We are seeking a proactive Membership Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in membership management, data analysis, and environmental sustainability, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to Kenya’s growing circular economy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initiate and maintain communication with members approaching renewal periods.
  • Provide personalized support to members to facilitate seamless renewal processes.
  • Assist members with monthly volume declarations and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Conduct on-site visits and provide assistance to member facilities as needed.
  • Address member queries and concerns through help desk support.
  • Analyze membership data to derive insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Track trends, membership metrics, and assess the effectiveness of engagement initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to increase member involvement and participation.
  • Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and outreach activities for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Business Development, Marketing, Data Analysis, or related field.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and responsible waste management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Proactive and independent work ethic.
  • Previous experience in membership management, customer service, or environmental advocacy is a plus.
