Role Overview

The monitoring and evaluation intern will support AECF in automating its impact systems. Key tasks include collecting impact data from supported businesses, submitting data online through Airtable, visualizing data using Tableau, and migrating historical data from SharePoint to Airtable. The intern will report directly to the data analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify the operational status and impact performance of portfolio companies and update profiles in Airtable
  • Conduct outreach and desk research to validate operational and impact data
  • Extract, clean, and upload historical impact data to Airtable according to internal standards
  • Reconcile donor-reported impact figures and flag discrepancies
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, validation, and follow-up with programme teams
  • Support the standardization of monitoring and evaluation documentation, including work plans, budgets, PMFs, and donor reports
  • Improve SharePoint data structures and file naming conventions
  • Assist in developing and enhancing data collection tools such as surveys and reporting templates
  • Identify system gaps, recommend process improvements, and contribute to continuous learning
  • Prepare summary trackers, discrepancy logs, and learning briefs to support data quality and accountability

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, IT, computer science, social sciences, or a related field
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; familiarity with Airtable and Make is an advantage
  • Ability to manage workload independently, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a multicultural environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
