Job Focus: ERP Data Verification & Reconciliation Support

Victoria Homestore Kenya is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Intern with a Part CPA qualification to support data verification, reconciliations, and documentation during the implementation of a new ERP system. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial operations, internal controls, and ERP processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify accuracy, completeness, and validity of receipts, vouchers, and supporting documents.
  • Review, process, and file vendor invoices ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist with data entry into the ERP system, ensuring correct posting of transactions.
  • Support data verification, reconciliations, and ERP clean-up activities.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable reconciliations.
  • Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports.
  • Maintain accounting records and manage documents on SharePoint and physical filing systems.
  • Assist with petty cash processing and preparation of payment requisitions/cheques.
  • Support month-end financial close activities and internal/external audits.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • CPA II qualification (minimum) required.
  • Fresh or recent graduate with up to 2 years’ post-graduation experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
  • Good time management, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
